Now I am in Bangkok serving in the English Cong: as an elder and Field Overseer. I had left the full time service over twenty years ago and continued as a publisher and served in various capacities of service in many congregations in Burma and also here in Thailand. Now I am trying to go back to Burma within this year. I am married now and my wife's name is Mercy and she has been in the truth since 1973 when she was a student. Both of us are keeping busy in the ministry and helping the Burmese-speaking community in Thailand. I visit the Burma and Thailand border congregations along with the Circuit overseers to translate their talks and also join the elders' meeting with the circuit overseer because I speak English, Burmese and Thai to a certain extent. These Burmese people mostly cannot speak English.... Last Memorial talk in Burmese I gave in a Burmese group of 12 publishers and there were 92 in attendance. One Australian couple work in this group and they invited me to give this talk. So, I just put a widow's contribution, so to speak. I am so glad you tried to contact me and let us endeavor to keep our line of communication open. Our warmest love and huge hug to you. Cordially brother Jimmy and sisiter Mercy Xavier |
